It offers a range of plans including fixed rate, variable rate, and pay-as-you-go, plus a plan called Green which is designed to help tackle climate change. To create this plan, Green Star partnered with Carbon Footprint, an organisation that runs carbon reduction projects in the UK and around the world.

Available tariffs

Green Star Energy offers a range of tariffs, all of which are managed online.

  • Standard

The Standard tariff is a plan on a variable rate that moves with the market. This means that your bill each month could rise or fall. With this plan, there are no exit fees so if you’re not satisfied, you can just switch tariff.

  • Standard Pay As You Go

With this tariff, you make payments upfront via a prepayment meter in your home, rather than paying monthly. This can be done via a card or key that you top up in locations such as newsagents.

  • Fix For Less

With this plan, you can power your home using only 100% renewable sources of energy. Green Star Energy offers this plan on a fixed rate contract of 12 months. It can be paid via direct debit only.
