Uber rider promo codes

How much does Uber cost?
The cost of an Uber will vary based on where you need to be picked up, where you need to be dropped off and what time it is. Prices go up when there are more riders requesting to be picked up.
Where is Uber available?
Uber is available in all 50 states. You’ll be able to call an Uber in most major cities and densely populated suburban areas, but availability is more sporadic in rural areas and small towns. You can download the Uber app and request a ride to find out if cars are available in your area.
Pros and cons of using Uber
- Track where your driver is at
- Choose from a range of car types for different budgets
- Get a price estimate before you ride
- Get referral bonuses when new passengers or drivers sign up
- Surge pricing — in times of high demand, Uber fares go up
- Limited coverage in some areas
- Most discount codes are only for new customers
Uber offers rides you can schedule from your phone in all 50 states, but it’s not available in all small towns and suburbs yet. If there are no promo codes available, or you just want to check out what your options are, compare other ridesharing platforms before calling your next car.
Frequently asked questions
Does Uber take cash?
Yes, but only in select locations. You’ll need to select your payment option as “Cash” before requesting a ride. You’ll then be able to pay your driver in cash at the end of the ride.
Does Uber have baby car seats?
Yes, but as of October 2019, they’re only available in NYC. You can request a forward-facing car seat in the app if your child is at least 12 months old, between 22 and 48 pounds and between 31 and 52 inches. There’s a $10 surcharge for requesting a car seat.
Do Ubers allow dogs?
All Ubers let you take a service animal along with you.
If you’re bringing a pet that isn’t a service animal, it’s up to the driver’s discretion. Contact your driver as soon as you’ve been assigned one to find out if dogs are allowed. If the driver says no, you’ll need to cancel the ride.
If you do bring a pet, Uber encourages you to bring a blanket or sheet for it to sit on so it doesn’t shed as a courtesy for the driver and future passengers.
How can I pay for my Uber?
Uber accepts both credit and debit cards. You can also link your checking account or use PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Venmo, gift cards or cash in select locations.
