The best-performing companies today were Discovery Inc (DISCB, up 31.0%) and Devon Energy Corporation (DVN, up 7.3%).
The Dow Jones Industrial Average made a big comeback on Wednesday, climbing 338.48 to close at 34,258.32. The Nasdaq jumped 150.45 to end the session at 14,896.85 and the S&P 500 rose 41.45 to close at 4,395.64.

Discovery Inc (DISCB) was the top gainer today.
Shares in the company rose 31.0% to $62.69.
“Discovery wrapped its merger with WarnerMedia, making big waves for the stock,” said Sheri Bechtel, Finder.com’s US share trading and investing editor. “A lot hinges upon the combined company’s streaming content strategy, which is being touted as a high priority for CEO David Zaslav. The merger is a big move, but it’s probably too early to tell if this jump for Discovery’s class B shares is reactionary. It would be wise to keep an eye on the merged company before deciding if it’s a buy.”
Second place for market gainers went to Devon Energy Corp (DVN), an NYSE company.
