The best performing companies today were Nio Inc. ADRs (NIO, up 17.3%) and Continental Resources Inc. (CLR, up 13.9%).
The markets overall were mixed but basically unchanged a day ahead of the Fed’s latest interest rate decision, with the Dow down about 0.5%, the S&P 500 losing 0.4%, and the Nasdaq gaining 0.2%.

Nio Inc. ADRs (NIO) was the top gainer today.
Shares in the company rose 17.3% to $18.75.
“The EV company promises it will launch a new vehicle tomorrow, possibly a new long-awaited SUV model,” said Finder Finance News Editor Ron Prichard.

Another strong performer was Continental Resources (CLR), the NYSE company.
It rose 13.9% to reach $73.49.
The stock rose on an offer from the family of billionaire-founder Harold Hamm to buy any shares the family doesn’t already own.
