Overall the markets stumbled Friday, though the major indexes posted gains for the holiday-shortened week. The Dow dropped 1% Friday, with a 0.5% gain for the week, while the S&P 500 was down 1.6% for the day but up 0.75% for the week. The Nasdaq shed 1.6% for the day but was up overall 1.2% for the week.
