The best performing stocks on the NYSE and Nasdaq today were Nike Inc. (NKE, up 4.8%) and U.S. Bancorp (USB, up 4.2%).
The short trading week was a rough one for the market. The Nasdaq Composite shed 2.1% for the day and 3.5% for the week, while the S&P 500 lost 1.2% for the day and 2.2% for the week. The Dow was flat for both. The market is closed Friday.

Nike Inc. (NKE) was the largest gainer today.
Shares in the company rose 4.8% to $133.56.
