The best performing companies today were Argenx Se ADRs(ARGX, up 8.9%) and Asana Inc. (ASAN, up 6.4%).

The Nasdaq Comspite and S&P 500 were both down about 1% for the day.

Standout performers in U.S. markets Monday, Dec. 20, 2021

Argenx Se ADRs (ARGX) was the top gainer today.

Shares in the company rose 8.9% to $337.75. The company announced approval of a drug for the treatment of generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG) in some adult patients.

Second place for market gainers went to Asana Inc. (ASAN), the NYSE company.

It rose 6.4% to reach $79.52.

“The software stock is down about 28% in the past month, so it was due for a bounce,” said Finder Finance News Editor Ron Prichard.
