The best performing stocks in NYSE and Nasdaq trading today were Arcelor Mittal (MT, up 6.8%) and Grifols (MTCN, up 4.8%).
The market as a whole posted the second down day this week, with the Nasdaq Composite shedding 1.1%. The NYSE, S&P 500 and Dow were all also down, but less than 1% each.

Steel maker ArcelorMittal (MT) was the biggest gainer today.
Shares in the company rose 6.8% to $31.20.
“The stock dropped significantly after earnings last month, and seems to be climbing back,” Finder Investments Publisher Ron Prichard said.

A related issue, Arcelormittal 5.50% Mandatorily Convertible Subordinated Notes Due 2023 (MTCN), also performed well Tuesday.
Also climbing were shares of Grifols (MTCN), which rose 4.8%. The drug and chemical stock is down more than 40% over the past year, as it moves to divest some subsidiaries.
