The best performing companies today were Epam Systems Inc. (EPAM, up 14.1%) and Roku Inc. (ROKU, up 8.4%).

Overall the market traded basically flat, with the Nasdaq and NYSE composites rising but adding less than 1%.

Epam Systems Inc. (EPAM) was the largest gainer today.

Shares in the company rose 14.1% to $678.74.

“The stock rose on word it will join the S&P 500 on Dec. 14, which usually helps a stock,” said Finder’s Investments Publisher Ron Prichard.

Second place for market gainers went to Roku Inc. (ROKU), the NASDAQ company. It rose 8.4% to reach $234.79.

Roku announced a deal with Google to keep YouTube on its platform.
