The best-performing companies in trading today were FMC Corp (FMC, up 11.7%) and Cameco Corp (CCJ, up 10.7%).
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rallied, gaining 104.95 to close at 36,157.58 and the Nasdaq gained 161.98 to settle at 15,811.58. The S&P 500 index edged up 29.92 to close at 4,660.57.
