Top performer badges in trading today go to Aspen Technology Inc (AZPN, up 9.0%) and Mechel PAO ADRs (MTL-, up 8.0%).

After regaining some ground late last week, stocks continued their downward slide Monday with the Dow Jones Industrial Average tanking by 250.19 to close at 34,496.06 and the Nasdaq giving up 93.34 to close at 14,486.20. The S&P 500 index was down 30.15 to end at 4,361.19.

Aspen Technology Inc (AZPN) was the biggest gainer today.

Shares in the company rose 9.0% to $154.23.

Also performing strongly was Mechel PAO ADRs (MTL-), an NYSE company.

It rose 8.0% to reach $2.02.
