The best-performing companies today were Tata Motors Ltd (TTM, up 15.0%) and Levi Strauss & Co (LEVI, up 11.1%).
Stocks climbed Thursday with the Dow Jones Industrial Average gaining 337.95 to close at 34,754.94 and the Nasdaq adding 152.10 to settle at 14,654.02. The S&P 500 edged 36.21 higher at 4,399.76.
