The best performing stocks on the NYSE and Nasdaq today were Nucor (NUE, up 7.0%) and Cleveland-Cliffs (CLF, up 6.2%).
The market overall had its worst day of 2022, with the Dow off 1%, the S&P 500 down nearly 2% and the Nasdaq losing 3.3%.

Nucor Corporation (NUE) was the dominant gainer today.
Shares in the company rose 7.0% to $125.22.
Positive comments on CNBC seemed to drive the move, with the stock nearing its high of last August.,

It rose 6.2% to reach $24.03.
