The best performing companies in trading today were Dollar Tree Inc. (DLTR, up 21.8%) and Alibaba Group Holding Limited ADRs (BABA, up 14.4%).
Stocks overall rose, with the Dow up for a fifth straight day as it added more than 500 points. The S&P 500 added 2%, the Nasdaq 2.7%.

Dollar Tree Inc. (DLTR) was the largest gainer today.
Shares in the company rose 21.8% to $162.73.
“Dollar Tree and rival discounter Dollar General both reported strong earnings and raised their outlooks for the year. Investors are rewarding companies that can defy inflation,” said Finder Finance News Editor Ron Prichard.

Second place for market gainers went to Alibaba Group Holding Limited ADRs (BABA), the NYSE company.
It rose 14.4% to reach $94.18 after an earnings report that beat analyst expectations.
