Top performer badges in trading today go to Dish Network Corporation (DISH, up 12.8%) and Shopify Inc. (SHOP, up 12.7%).
The market overall was mixed and basically unmoved, with the Dow and S&P 500 down by fractions and the Nasdaq squeaking out a gain of less than 0.1%. But the S&P 500 continues to slip toward bear market territory, now 18% off the peak.

Dish Network (DISH) was the largest gainer today.
Shares in the company rose 12.8% to $19.70.
“Dish had a big bounce but it’s still down 23% in five days and 40% this year. Buyers have decided it’s oversold,” said Finder Finance News Editor Ron Prichard.

The second-best mover was Shopify Inc. (SHOP), the NYSE company.
It rose 12.7% to reach $358.96.
“This could also be a case of buyers spying a bargain. The stock is still down 74% year to date,” Prichard said.
