The best performing companies in trading today were Argenx Se ADRs (ARGX, up 10.2%) and EPAM Systems Inc. (EPAM, up 7.4%).
Overall the market plunged amid fear of inflation and a possible recession after the Fed hike interest rates a day earlier. The Dow lost more than 1,000 points and the Nasdaq dropped 5%, the worst day for both since 2020.

Standout performers in U.S. markets Thursday, May 05, 2022

Argenx Se ADRs (ARGX) was the standout gainer today.
Shares in the company rose 10.2% to $322.94.
“The company soared after reporting strong sales of a new drug used to treat myasthenia gravis,” Finder Finance News Editor Ron Prichard said.

Second place for market gainers went to EPAM Systems Inc. (EPAM), the NYSE company.
It rose 7.4% to reach $335.66.
“EPAM reported strong quarterly results, having weathered problems related to a large presence in Russia and Ukraine,” Prichard said.
