The best performing stocks in NYSE and Nasdaq trading today were Plug Power Inc. (PLUG, up 10.4%) and Ovintiv Inc. (OVV, up 10.2%).
Overall the markets remain positive, and by larger margins than earlier in the week. The Dow gained 1.1%, the S&P 500 1.5% and the Nasdaq 2.3%.

Plug Power Inc. (PLUG) was the top gainer today.
Shares in the company rose 10.4% to $19.40.
“Plug is a leader in hydrogen fuel cell technology, and its sector got a lift from Shell announcing it would be a large hydrogen plant in Europe,” said Finder Finance News Editor Ron Prichard.

In second spot for market gains was Ovintiv Inc. (OVV), the NYSE company.
It rose 10.2% to reach $43.14.
“Ovintiv announced it was selling some wells and planned to deliver the money to shareholders via share buybacks,” Prichard said.
