The best performing stocks on the NYSE and Nasdaq today were Alcoa Corporation (AA, up 12.7%) and Target Corporation (TGT, up 11.2%).
Overall it was a down day in the market, with the Dow Industrials losing nearly 600 points and the Nasdaq Composite off 1.6%.

Alcoa Corporation (AA) was the top gainer today.
Shares in the company rose 12.7% to $84.94.

“Target issues a solid earnings report with upbeat guidance for the full year,” said Finder Finance News Editor Ron Prichard.
