Tarte makes waves with new mermaid makeup brushes
The perfect new tools to apply that underwater goddess look.
While Tarte Cosmetics gave unicorns the limelight in 2017, the company has definitely upped its game this year and given us mermaids.
The vegan-friendly and cruelty-free makeup brand has just launched a set of mermaid makeup brushes that are the perfect followup to its hugely popular Mermaid and Make Waves Eyeshadow Palette.
Tarte has been teasing us with glimpses of products from its whimsical mermaid range throughout this year.
And now, it has completed its magical collection with different Minutes to Mermaid brushes that are designed to swish across your entire shimmery face.
All five brushes in the set have gorgeous plush pink bristles and iridescent handles with green, purple and pink ombre fish scale detailing for maximum effect.
Who doesn’t love a theme? Especially when it involves our childhood favorite Aerial.

How to use these sea-inspired tools
Choose the large powder brush all over your face for loose powder or bronzer.
The tightly-packed bristles of the cheek brush are ideal for applying blush.
The highlighter stippling brush will help you blend cream illuminators flawlessly into your skin like a pro.
The domed eyeshadow brush will allow you to cover your entire lids with your favorite mermaid shades as well as blend them perfectly into the creases.
You’ll then be able to finish your smoldering eyeshadow with the pencil brush and smoke out heavy pigment or liner.
The new Minutes to Mermaid brush set costs $42 and is available on the brand’s own website.
