Is the Target Black Friday sale only online?

No. You can score solid deals both online and in store. However, Target will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.

Keep in mind the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released guidelines that deem shopping in crowded malls a high-risk activity for the spread of COVID-19. Shopping online is your best bet to get the best deals without the risk.

If you do venture out, be sure to bring face masks or other PPE.

When can I start shopping?

Target will offer Black Friday deals all throughout the month of November!

Should I open a Target REDcard™ Credit Card for Black Friday spending?

If you’ve been thinking about open a new Target REDcard™, the myriad deals you’ll find at Target in November are the perfect opportunity to put that card to work. For most purchases, you’ll enjoy the card’s generous 5% back on those sweet Black Friday deals. This equates to significant savings depending on how much Black Friday shopping you perform at Target.

If you plan on applying for the Target REDcard™, you’ll want to do so before November. The approval process and receiving your new credit card can take anywhere from days to weeks, which can prove problematic if you need the card in time for a deal. Give yourself a month or so in advance to make sure you receive your card and you’re ready to start spending.
