Stasis Euro, or EURS, is a Euro stablecoin associated with STASIS, a tokenisation platform focused on representing real-world assets on the blockchain. According to the project’s website, STASIS has formed an ecosystem consisting of licenced financial intermediaries, law firms, and global accounting firms, to help build trust and transparency within the stablecoin environment.
The first stablecoin to be offered by the platform was the Stasis Euro, which provides cryptocurrency users with an alternative to the US dollar stablecoins that currently dominate the market. EURS has now become one of the largest Euro stablecoins in the cryptocurrency industry.
The Statsis Euro, is backed 1 for 1 with real-world Euro reserves. These reserves are completely transparent and are verified on a quarterly basis by a Top 5 global accounting firm. In addition to quarterly checks, daily account statements are available and monthly verifications are completed by the local accounting and tax service provider, BDO Malta. Since its inception STASIS has been focused on conforming to regulation. Thanks to verifiable reserves and regulation conformity, EURS is now used for thousands of transactions on a daily basis. The token currently exists on the Ethereum blockchain as an ERC-20 token, but the team at STASIS plans to expand multi-chain capabilities in the future.
