From travel to wine tastings, here’s how to make the most of life after the pandemic.

With the vaccine here and a new future in sight, some people are slowly starting to picture life post-pandemic. In fact, according to a new report from LendingTree, more than 80% of Americans who plan to get vaccinated said they’ll celebrate with a splurge.

If you’re one of those 8 out of 10 Americans, we pulled together some ideas for your big purchase — from budget to luxury options.

1. Take a trip abroad

Once you feel financially secure and it becomes safe to travel again, booking a trip could be the perfect way to say adios to the pandemic. If you want to start planning early, there are tons of deals now. Some current standouts we’re seeing include Travelocity-listed flight deals to Ireland as low as $211, flights to Italy as low as $201 and flights to Paris from $200.

2. Book a cool Airbnb

Want to stay in the states but still get an escape? There are plenty of Airbnbs that break all traditional molds. We’re particularly big fans of this houseboat in downtown Charleston, SC, and this tiny loft cabin in Wyoming. Also — if you’re into this kind of thing — you can stay at a whole myriad of houses that have been featured in iconic movies and television shows.

3. Sign up for a class

You can finally be around people — woohoo! Take advantage of the post-pandemic world by signing up for a class and learn a fun skill you’ve always wanted to try your hand at. Groupon is a great option for finding discounted classes, including beginner photography, bartending, acting workshops and flower arranging.

4. Go on a wine tasting spree

Head to your local winery and indulge in a tasting of decadent wine and delicious cheese. Bonus: Wineries tend to be in stunning destinations with rolling hills, so you’ll get some much needed eye candy while you’re at it.

5. Enjoy a customized outdoor experience

Now that you’re out in the world, you can finally splurge on an adventure. We’re a big fan of Airbnb’s experience offerings, which include options like a sunset hike with a geologist, a kayak around sea caves and a hot springs hike with a photographer.
