Where to watch Game of Thrones season 7 online in Singapore

Game of Thrones Season 7 has begun. Here’s how you can catch the latest dragon-filled season on Starhub Go.

The wait between seasons of Game of Thrones always feels like a lifetime (spare a thought for the book fans, who are now well and truly out in the wilderness), but now we can finally dive into the first episode of Thrones’ epic new season.

In 2015, Starhub Go launched as a standalone SVOD service to bring HBO’s award-winning series to Singapore at the same time as it airs in the US.

There are two ways to watch Game of Thrones through Starhub: watch it via your cable TV subscription, or stream it. With Starhub Go, it’s all about the live stream. For those of us in Singapore, a 9am Monday breakfast viewing is the only way to guarantee a spoiler-free experience. Alternatively, Starhub Go subscribers can each new episode will be available to watch again after broadcast, so you can easily get your Daenerys fix.

Once the season has totally wrapped up (there will only be seven episodes this season), you’ll be able to download Game of Thrones through all the usual avenues, like iTunes, Google Play, Microsoft movies and PlayStation movies.

Where can I watch Game of Thrones Season 7 legally and how much will it cost?

Starhub is the only legal avenue to watch the battle for Westeros in Singapore. To access it, you’ll need to have an existing cable TV subscription with Starhub, or purchase one of several different standalone TV streaming packages containing HBO.

What time does Game of Thrones air in Singapore?

Game of Thrones airs at the same time as the US which is 9pm EST Sunday night, or 9am on Monday morning in Singapore.

What channel is Game of Thrones on in Singapore?

Game of Thrones is part of StarHub Go’s Go Premium Pack, which contains HBO and other channels.

Why don’t other services offer Game of Thrones?

Since the crackdown in the US on outside services live streaming and accessing shows from HBO and Netflix, Singapore, much like other countries outside the UK and the States, has suffered the consequences of no free to air programming. Yes, you can do a cut around through unblocking services such as VPNs, but remember, they are outside government regulations so ensure you make a reasoned decision.
