On Valentine’s day you may be feeling the heat a little to get her a gift that really shows her how much you care. Valentine’s gifts are supposed to be thoughtful, sweet, pretty and romantic all in one. But really, finding that perfect gift can seem impossible sometimes.
Don’t sweat, here are a bunch of beautiful gifts that have been hand-picked by the ladies here at finder Canada. We’re sure your girl will love any one of these gifts, especially since it’s from you.
The secrets to a perfect Valentine’s Day gift for her
Buying a Valentine’s Day gift for your girlfriend can be easier than you think. If you don’t have something in mind, you just need to do a little bit of careful research – think about what she loves, what she buys herself or even think back to things she’s said she really wants!
Clothing and jewellery
Many people say that it is impossible to pick clothes and jewellery that their girl actually likes. In reality it’s not that hard. Think of the things she normally wears and if you can remember, scroll through her Instagram or facebook photos. Does she usually like to wear black? Does she prefer silver jewellery or gold? Once you’ve got an idea of things she normally wears, it’s just a matter of finding something similar.
Perfume
Perfumes are extremely hard to pick. People can be fussy about smells. If you’re dead-set on buying her a perfume, maybe have a look at what she’s currently using and buy her the same. Alternatively, you can pick a very subtle and non-offensive scent like Chloe Eau De Toilette, Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue or Marc Jacobs Daisy.
Lingerie
Buying lingerie can be a bit difficult so unless you already know her size or you can take a sneak peek at a bra she already owns, maybe steer clear. The size will be written on the tag at the back where the clips are. Once you know the size, it’s just a matter of finding the same one when you’re shopping. It’s a good idea to stick to the same brand too. If your girl like Pleasure State bras, then stick to those.
Beauty products
Again, buying her beauty products is easier than you think. Pull up one of her selfies and take a look at the makeup she’s wearing. Does she have a lot of black around her eyes? Then she’ll love a black eyeliner or black eyeshadow. Does she have darker skin? Try getting her a beautiful bronzer. If you see her wearing lots of lipsticks then get one of those in a trend colour like nude. And if you’re still totally confused then either take a photo of her into Sephora or David Jones and ask for help or leave us a comment.
Flowers
There are at least a few florists in every city of the country so this is one of the simplest and easiest gifts for everyone. If you’re stuck for what to get, just get roses. The quintessential Valentine’s Day flower.
Chocolate
If your girlfriend simply adores chocolate then this is a good option for you. There are some beautifully exuberant boxes of high-grade, quality chocolates available out there.
