  • Annual fee. A yearly fee of S$642 applies for the principal card. Supplementary cards have a yearly fee of S$288; however, the first card is free for the first year.
  • Get rewarded for spending. Get 2 air miles per S$1 spent overseas and 1.4 air miles per S$1 spent locally
  • Priority banking service. Get preferential service and priority queues when you visit a UOB branch throughout Singapore.
  • Home assistance. Get emergency home assistance services such as electrical, plumbing or a locksmith, with two callouts covered a year for up to S$100.
  • Travel and medical assistance. For trips overseas no longer than 60 days, be covered against the unexpected. This includes medical repatriation, transfers and emergency translation services.

How to apply for the UOB Visa Infinite Metal Card?

If you are a SingPass holder without a UOB bank account your personal information can be retrieved from MyInfo to submit an application. If you are not a SingPass holder then you will need to submit the following:

  • Photocopy of your NRIC (front and back)
  • 3 months’ computerised payslip; or
  • Latest 12 months’ CPF statement; or
  • Latest income tax notice of assessment

For self-employed

  • Photocopy of your NRIC (front and back)
  • 2 years’ income tax notice of assessment

For foreigners

  • Photocopy of your passport (with at least 6 months validity)
  • Employment pass (with at least 6 months validity)
  • A bill to show proof of address such as telephone or utilities bill
  • 3 months’ computerised payslip; or
  • Latest 12 months’ CPF statement; or
  • Latest income tax notice of assessment

Bottom line

While the UOB Visa Infinite Metal Card does require a minimum income of S$150,000 and comes with a high annual fee, the amount of benefits that you get is simply outstanding. Having access to both a normal and medical concierge at any time of day makes life a lot easier and there are many memberships and perks to enjoy while at home in Singapore or when travelling abroad. However, since there are other credit cards on the market that offer great benefits – for example, points which have no expiry date – make sure to compare your options before applying to make sure that this is the right option for your lifestyle.
