Bottom line

The UOB Preferred Platinum Visa Card is a rewards credit card that lets you get a high earn rate across a number of spending categories, both online and offline. You can accumulate UNI$ Points while you shop online or via contactless payments at supermarkets, cinemas and restaurants. Converting UNI$ into miles is one way to make your card work for you. By taking advantage of the bonus rate of 10 UNI$ Points for every S$5 spent, you could find you accumulate air miles quicker than with other credit cards on the market.

If you choose the UOB Preferred Platinum Visa Card, you may decide it’s better to earn rebates or miles rather than SMART$ rewards (you can’t do both, so you’ll have to decide). Just make sure that you use UOB’s air miles before they expire. And keep an eye on limits with this card – there’s an expenditure cap for rewards of S$2,000 per month.
