About Tiq by Etiqa Insurance

Tiq is the digital channel of Etiqa Insurance, an award-winning local insurer known for its customer-centred products and solutions. With an emphasis on smart technologies, Tiq strives to provide reliable digital insurance solutions that’d help its customers prepare for unpredictable situations quickly and easily.

Bottom line

With its high coverage limits, competitive prices and unique coverage, Tiq Home Insurance is easily one of the highest-value policies for the average HDB and private property owners.

Premiums for the 1-year plan typically costs between 26% and 60% below the market average for HDB flats, with up to 15% discounts yearly for the 3- or 5-year coverage options. While premiums for condo owners aren’t as competitive, Tiq Home Insurance’s high coverage limits can make up for the higher cost. For instance, private property owners can insure up to $2,000,000 in buildings coverage and $1,000,000 in renovation coverage, which is one of the highest limits on the market.

Tiq Home Insurance may be an ideal option for cost-conscious first-time homeowners seeking modest coverage for common homeownership problems, but do keep in mind that its benefit limits may not be enough for affluent consumers with expensive items. The plan also does not cover the cost of moving home contents.

Before applying, make sure to compare options from other popular home insurers in Singapore to find one that best suit your needs.
