All transactions made on OSL will incur a fee:
- Maker orders. There’ll be a 0.25% trading fee when you place an order that is adding liquidity to the order book. This means that your sell order is higher in price than the highest buy order
- Taker orders. There’ll be a 0.35% trading fee when you place an order that’s executed instantly by a response order in the order book.

Is OSL safe to use?
- Regulation. OSL operates as an exempt entity from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) under the Payment Services Act (Exemption for Specified Period).
- Asset protection. Clients’ digital assets are stored in both hot wallet and cold storage. Only a fraction of digital assets required for operational purposes is maintained in an online (hot) wallet. The vast majority of digital assets are held offline in cold storage.
- Security features. OSL recommends two-factor authentication (2FA) as a second layer of account security.
How do I create an account at OSL?
To create an account, simply visit the OSL website and click on the ‘Register’ button. Be sure to check that you’ve met all requirements and have the required documents on hand before getting started.
Upon submission of the documents, OSL’s client onboarding team will take approximately 1 business day to complete your account application.

What else do I need to know about OSL?
In 2020, OSL signed as a technology client for DBS Bank’s digital asset platform. In June 2021, OSL’s parent company, BC Technology Group (stock code: HK 863) also raised approximately HK$543.2 million ($70 million) from Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund GIC through a private placement.
