What is MSIG CancerCare Plus?

MSIG CancerCare Plus is a straightforward policy that provides a lump-sum payment if the insured is diagnosed with a major or early-stage cancer.

What is considered a major or early-stage cancer?

You’ll either be entitled to the basic or accelerated benefit depending on your condition:

  • Major cancer. A malignant tumour that’s positively diagnosed with histological confirmation and characterised by the uncontrolled growth of malignant cells with invasion and destruction of normal tissue. This includes, but is not limited to, leukemia, lymphoma and sarcoma.
  • Early-stage cancer. Refers to cancer growth that’s still in its early stages and has not spread to other parts of the body.

For the full definition of Major Cancer and Early-Stage cancer, please refer to the MSIG CancerCare Plus policy document. If you’re unsure, do not hesitate to contact MSIG or your agent directly.

About MSIG

With a presence in Singapore for over 100 years, MSIG is a well-trusted brand in Singapore and one of Asia’s leading general insurers. The brand is one of the few foreign‑based general insurers that offer a wide range of personal and commercial insurance solutions.

MSIG Insurance (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of MSI and a member of the MS&AD Insurance Group.

Bottom line

MSIG CancerCare Plus is one of the best value-for-money plans available in the market, especially for younger people seeking affordable cancer coverage to supplement their existing healthcare plans.

Compared to competitors such as Great Eastern, Prudential and SingLife, you’ll be covered for a fixed assured sum at $100,000 instead of $50,000, at similar premium rates. Additionally, this policy offers automatic renewal even after you’ve made a claim for early-stage diagnoses.

If you belong to an older age group (above 45 years old), do note that the premium rates for MSIG CancerCare Plus are considerably pricey.
