Remember that delivery times can be delayed with big sales and during the COVID-19 pandemic. Allow time if you are shopping for a special occasion or from overseas. Otherwise, opt for expedited shipping or click and collect if available. There are plenty of ways to get your bargain products in hand quickly.

Stores that have a shopfront have in-store shopping sales as well as discounts and bargains online. Check your store’s website to find out details of store locations and also for updates on their COVID-19 restrictions.

How will COVID-19 affect the GSS?

GSS was an online event in 2021 due to COVID-19. Sales were still running even though the pandemic has made it harder to shop in person. However, some stores may post notices on longer shipping times due to the busy sales season and COVID-related postal delays.

Returns, exchanges and refunds

Check the returns policy on individual stores, especially return time frames. Many stores offer change of mind returns and exchanges, plus free returns postage. Other stores may have stricter returns policies.

What can we expect from the Great Singapore Sale?

The sales this year are sure to be crammed with the hottest styles at unmissable discounts. In previous years, we’ve seen up to 70% off for a whole 6 weeks.

Lazada played a key role in the Great Singapore Sale in 2021 as the official ecommerce partner. We expect it to offer huge support and plenty of shopping bargains again in 2022. It previously offered mammoth discounts in categories such as electronics, beauty, fashion, toys and games. Tips and tricks for shopping during the GSS

Here’s what you need to know to shop like a pro when the GSS lands:

  • Set yourself a budget and stick to it. Don’t get tempted to overindulge when you’re shopping. Check your finances before you start your spree and work out a reasonable amount to splurge during the GSS. Most important of all, stick to it.
