Savings are dished out in the form of SMRT$, which may be redeemed at any participating merchants, for vouchers, rides and even cash rebates.

Benefits of using the Citi SMRT Card

When you shop using the Citi SMRT Card, you get to enjoy a number of unique benefits:

  • Welcome offer. All new cardholders are qualified to receive $300 cash back, as long as you meet the $1,200 qualifying spend. This offer is only available within two months from card approval. Terms and conditions apply and offers are subject to change from time to time at the bank’s discretion. Valid until 31 Oct 2022
  • Daily savings. Get 5% savings on groceries, supermarkets, online purchases (excluding mobile wallet and travel-related transactions), taxi (including private-hire rides), public transport rides (island-wide) and EZ-Link Auto top-up SimplyGo. Minimum required spend of $500 per statement month for full cashback redemption. Otherwise, your earn rate falls to 0.3% for all categories. No monthly rebates cap, although rebates are capped at $600 per calendar year. T&Cs apply.

  • Easy redemptions. Redeem SMRT$ for cash rebates or vouchers via SMS or Citibank online where you earn 1 SMRT$ for every $1 spend on eligible purchases.
  • Shopping and travel deals. Besides earning SMRT$, you can also access exclusive Citi offers such as shopping or hotel discounts from participating merchants.
  • EZ-Link card. This credit card now doubles as an EZ-Link card for your daily commute with no convenience fee for auto top-ups. Plus, get up to 5% savings via EZ-Reload transactions.
  • Visa payWave. Equipped with a contactless payment feature, you can make fast and hassle-free payments for purchases under $100 by simply tapping it on any contactless transaction reader.

How to apply

Applying for the Citi SMRT Card takes around 10 to 15 minutes online. Before you apply, make sure you meet the eligibility criteria and organise the necessary documents:
