HSBC Advance

Ideal for: Physical and online shoppers, and HSBC Advance banking customers

Not looking to spend thousands this season? If you’re someone who shops both online and at physical retailers, choose the HSBC Advance card instead.

If you are a HSBC Advance banking customer, there is 2.5% cashback on all shopping spend with no minimum spending requirement. And if you spend $2,000 and above in a month, you get 3.5%.

For non-HSBC Advance banking customers, you only get 1.5% cashback, and 2.5% if you spend at least $2,000. If you’re not intending to clock such a high spend, consider other cards on the list.

Apply via GoBear and receive $150 reward until 30 Nov 2020, as well as $150 cashback or samsonite luggage and $30 Lazada voucher from HSBC (1 Oct to 31 Dec 2020). Promotions apply to new card holders only.

Citi Lazada Card

Ideal for: Loyal Lazada shoppers

And here’s a card for those who are loyal to Lazada. Using the Citi Lazada Card, you can get 10 Rewards Points per $1 spent on Lazada. Additionally, you get shipping rebates — $1.99 cashback — when you spend a minimum of $50 per transaction on Lazada, capped at four shipping rebates per calendar month. Take note though, this does not apply to Redmart purchases.

You can change your Rewards Points to cash at 4,400 Rewards Points = $10 cash. Based on very simple calculations, assuming you only use this card for Lazada purchases, this means that you’ll get a $10 rebate for every $440 spent on Lazada, which translates to a cashback rate of around 2.27%.

For all other purchases, you can receive 1 Reward Point per $1 spent on everything else.

? Apply online via GoBear and get a $150 Lazada voucher (valid until 31 Dec 2020).

Citi Cash Back+ Card

Ideal for: Family breadwinners

The Citi Cash Back+ Card offers 1.6% cashback with no minimum spend required and no cap on cashback earned. This is a standard cashback rate for cards without minimum spend and cashback cap, but the good thing about the Citi Cash Back+ Card is that it is actually a good all-rounder card.

If you spend a minimum of $888 in a statement month, you enjoy a bonus cashback of 7.75% on dining, groceries and petrol, and 0.25% base cashback on all retail purchases with no cap. There is also up to 14% discount at Esso and Shell stations.

Maybank FC Barcelona Visa Signature Card

Ideal for: Fans of FC Barcelona

We come to the Maybank FC Barcelona Visa Signature Card. This card offers 1.6% unlimited cash rebates for all purchases in Singapore, no minimum spend required and no cashback cap.

The 1.6% cashback is decent for as it has no minimum spending requirement, but other than that the other benefits are more targeted for FC Barcelona fans, such as a chance to win a trip for 2 to catch FC Barcelona LIVE every football season and 5% Discount at the FCBotiga official store in Camp Nou. Although, with Covid-19 still raging on globally, we’re not sure when you can get to use these benefits.

Still, it’s a good second card to have if you have busted the cashback or reward cap for your main card.
