Sephora’s new mermaid-inspired brush set is everything
Your boring makeup brush spell can and should end here and now with Sephora’s new mermaid-inspired Ocean Crush set.
So you skipped out on the Tarte unicorn brushes last year. You didn’t buy the colorful and fun brushes from Too Faced’s new collection, either.
We get it: You’re responsible. You have your own set of standard black makeup brushes that work perfectly fine. You don’t really need a fun, multicolored brush set that adds personality and dimension to your currently blah morning routine.
No — actually, you totally do. Your boring makeup brush spell can and should end here and now with Sephora’s new mermaid inspired Ocean Crush set. Even the most responsible beauty budgeter can’t argue that Sephora is offering its new set at a great price.
The set includes five brushes and retails for just $39.00, although Sephora says the true retail value is $65.00. These vegan-friendly brushes feature ombre purple and blue and are made from a synthetic fiber, not real animal hair. The set is limited edition, so you’ll want to scoop it up fast before it sells out.
The brushes in the set include a highlight fan brush that’s specially rounded to handle the contours of your face. There’s also a powder fan brush to finish your makeup with, as well as a concealer brush to ensure flawless coverage. Finally, the set includes two eye brushes — one designed for putting shadow all over your eyelid as well as a smaller brush that’s perfect for applying makeup to the tricky corner of the eye.
If you’re a beauty-blender kind of girl, good news: There’s an option for you too. The little sister of the Ocean Crush brush set is the Ocean Crush Sponge Set, which features two adorable coral-colored makeup sponges. They’re shaped like seashells and make a perfect addition to any makeup collection.
Of course, you could always get the brush set and the sponge set. Hold it all together in the limited edition Ocean Crush makeup pouch. It’s glittery and ready to take great care of your favorite makeup, all summer long. If you’re not into sparkles, there’s also a minimalist version available.
