ADAPad is an incubator-style application built for the Cardano blockchain. Marketed as the first “deflationary launchpad for the Cardano ecosystem”, most transactions that take place within the ecosystem that involve the native cryptocurrency, ADAPAD, incur a burn fee which helps to keep the token deflationary. Although helping to bootstrap new projects being developed within the Cardano ecosystem, the protocol is also aiming to become a cross-platform launchpad that will assist decentralised applications from other ecosystems too. The project also offers protection from bot-sniping, a cross-chain bridge, and staking opportunities.
According to the project’s website, ADAPad’s new incubator application aims to revolutionise the way investors can get involved in early-stage blockchain projects. Alongside investing in early-stage protocols that have the potential to multiply in value, users also have the opportunity to generate value thanks to a deflationary token model.
The main mechanisms for keeping the native token ADAPAD deflationary are a 2.5% burn fee which is collected from every token sale, and a 25% burn fee, which is collected from stakers that remove funds before the agreed 8 week locking period. Holders of the native token are also rewarded with 7.5% of all of the fees generated from token sales.
