Rihanna unveils Fenty Beauty body glitter

Posted: 27 March 2018 1:57 pm

All that glitters may not be gold, but everything Rihanna touches seems to turn to it.

The internationally loved singer is adding a new sparkle to her massively successful Fenty Beauty line. Makeup lovers are obsessed with Fenty’s top notch lipsticks and foundations, and the line has been praised for its extensive selection of shades to match every skin tone. Although your wallet probably hasn’t even recovered from the original Fenty Beauty release, it’s hard to resist such a tantalizing product.

RiRi revealed the new item, a body glitter she’s dubbed Body Lava, in an Instagram post yesterday. Body Lava is set to launch April 6, so mark your calendars. Rihanna said her bottles of the product are almost empty already, a strong personal endorsement.

With the revival of ’90s trends, 2018 has already been a nostalgic year for 20- and 30-somethings. This new body glitter reminds us exactly of the fruit-flavored glitter sprays we aggressively applied before middle school dances, but all grown up and with a touch of Rihanna’s flair. This is a throwback we’re definitely into: more glitter, fewer problems.

So far, we know that Fenty Body Lava will be available in two colors: Who Needs Clothes? and Brown Sugar. One shade has a more golden and bronzed hue, while the other is a sweeter pink hue.

Rihanna posted a teasing video of her holding both Body Lava shades yesterday. Sticking her tongue out playfully at the camera, the superstar showcased her new product and received hundreds of supportive comments from fans.

This body glitter’s new best friend is a kabuki style brush to help you apply it evenly across your body. Rihanna posted a sultry video of her applying Body Lava using the brush, and now we want it even more. All the nostalgia of tweenage body glitter, none of the stickiness or awkward smearing.

Body Lava launches next Friday, April 6. You’ll be able to snag a bottle directly from Fenty Beauty or from Sephora, where Fenty Beauty products are sold.
