Game of Thrones Season 7 has begun. Here’s how you can catch each dragon-filled episode online with HBO Go.
The wait between seasons of Game of Thrones always feels like a lifetime (spare a thought for the book fans, who are now well and truly out in the wilderness), but now we can finally dive into the first episode of Thrones’ epic new season.
The only service where you can watch HBO shows in Poland at the same time as they’re released in the US is via HBO Europe and its online service HBO Go.
There are two ways to watch Game of Thrones through HBO Europe: watch it on TV, or stream it. With HBO Go, it’s all about the live stream. For those of us in Poland, watching live may well mean a furtive lunchtime commitment to headphones and the laptop or tablet (or a sickie after watching it live at 3am), but it’s guaranteed to give you a spoiler-free experience. Alternatively, HBO Europe subscribers can access the newest episodes at their convenience as the episodes start immediately repeating after the current one ends. Each new episode will be available to watch through HBO Europe’s service for 30 days after broadcast, so you can easily get your Daenerys fix.
Once the season has totally wrapped up (there will only be seven episodes this season), you’ll be able to download Game of Thrones through all the usual avenues, like iTunes, Google Play, Microsoft movies and PlayStation movies.
Where can I watch Game of Thrones Season 7 legally and how much will it cost?
HBO Europe is the only legal avenue to watch the battle for Westeros in Poland. There are occasionally free trials on offer, and HBO Go is free for all exisiting HBO Europe subscribers.
What channel is Game of Thrones on in Poland?
Game of Thrones is on HBO 3 and HBO Go.
What time does Game of Thrones air in Poland?
Game of Thrones airs at the same time as the US which is 9pm EST Sunday night, or 3am on Monday morning in Poland.
Why don’t other services offer Game of Thrones?
Since the crackdown in the US on outside services live streaming and accessing shows from HBO and Netflix, Poland, much like other countries outside the UK and the States, has suffered the consequences of no free to air programming. Yes, you can do a cut around through unblocking services such as VPNs, but remember, they are outside government regulations so ensure you make a reasoned decision.
