The wait is over for rugby-starved New Zealanders, with Super Rugby Aotearoa kicking off on 13 June. Only involving Kiwi sides, Super Rugby Aotearoa has been pulled together as a temporary replacement for the standard Super Rugby competition due to border restrictions.

In another major win for New Zealanders, there are no limits on crowds at games. That is a nod to the country’s ability in overcoming the coronavirus pandemic.

In New Zealand, Sky holds the exclusive rights to live Super Rugby. Sky extended its broadcast deal in October last year through to 2025.
