How to watch Formula 1 live stream in New Zealand

How to watch Formula 1 live in NZ

In terms of your viewing options, the rights to broadcast Formula 1 live in NZ are owned by F1 itself via F1 TV and Spark Sport. However, there’s a catch with F1 TV. You can only get streaming access to live or on-demand practice sessions, qualifying and races with F1 TV Pro.

Subscribe to a monthly or annual plan to F1 TV Pro and catch evert session of the Formula 1 season live or on-demand. There's also live stats, documentaries and more than 650 races from the F1 archives.

Stream F1 live on F1 TV Pro

With F1 TV Pro in New Zealand, you get all the F1 action you could ask for, plus F2, F3 and Porsche Supercup replays. You can get enhanced live race-day coverage thoo with the ability to select any drivers onboard camera. There is also a major race archive.

There are two subscription options available for F1 TV Pro and F1 TV Access. But only F1 TV Pro gives you access to live race sessions. F1 TV Pro costs either $14.99 per month or $99.99 a year. F1 TV access gives you some exclusive content that you won’t find on the internet, but $4.49/month or $41.99 annually

Watch F1 on Spark Sport

Entering the NZ market in 2019, Spark Sport has picked up a wide range of overseas sports and competitions including the Formula 1. In addition to the F1 they also have the rights to other motorsports like MotoGP and the World Rally Championship.

To watch on Spark Sport you’ll need to pay $24.99 and comes with a 7-day free trial.

Spark Sport currently have a deal with F1 TV. Spark Sport customers are currently able to add F1 TV Pro onto their existing subscription for free. Spark Sport is compatible with Mac, PC, Chromecast, iOS and Android devices, Apple TV and select Smart TVs (LG, Panasonic, Samsung, Sony Android).
