What is Dasset?
Headquartered in Auckland, New Zealand, Dasset (“digital” + “asset”) was launched in 2017. With a goal to make digital currency accessible to everyone, Dasset allows everyone from retail customers to professional traders to buy, sell and trade more than 100 popular cryptocurrencies.
It provides a trading platform that’s been audited by third-party security experts, and it promises to store its customers’ legal tender funds in a custodial account, with digital currencies belonging to customers stored in multisignature cold wallets.

How fast will my funds be available?
When you authorise a NZD withdrawal, Dasset will immediately debit your account for the required amount. Dasset will then transfer these funds to your nominated bank account within three business days.
In its terms and conditions, Dasset also points out that certain deposit or withdrawal requests may not be processed outside of normal banking hours. Deposits and withdrawals will typically be processed within one business day.
Are there any transfer limits?
There is no specific information listed on the Dasset website about transaction limits. However, the following clause can be found in the terms and conditions:
“We may impose transaction limits from time to time. In particular, we reserve the right to review any withdrawals and to request further information before releasing funds for regulatory and fraud prevention purposes.”
Is it safe to use Dasset?
Dasset maintains a separate bank account (the Dasset Custodial Bank Account) with ANZ. Digital currency deposits with the platform are kept in multisignature cold storage, with private keys kept in a combination of online and offline storage.

To be eligible to trade with Dasset, you’ll need to provide your name, contact details, address, phone number and proof of ID. You also have the option of enabling two-factor authentication on your account, which will provide an extra layer of protection for your funds.
