The World Health Organisation recently declared the spread of COVID-19, also known as the coronavirus, a pandemic, meaning the disease has spread rapidly around the globe.

The New Zealand Ministry of Health has set up a special Healthline call service offering coronavirus-related advice. If you’re concerned you have been exposed to the virus and may be experiencing flu-like symptoms such as fever or a cough, call the following number:

If you require non-coronavirus-related health advice, please call the regular Healthline number on 0800 611 116.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact 111 to get immediate help.
