CMC Markets is an established broker that was founded back in 1989. Headquartered in London, it offers CFD and stock trading in several countries around the world, but only offers CFD trading services in New Zealand.

The company’s New Zealand operations are based in Auckland and it is regulated by the Financial Markets Authority.

How to open a CMC Markets account

There’s also the option of a free demo account, which allows you to practise trading with a virtual balance of $10,000 for up to 30 days.

To create an account, you’ll need to complete an online application form on the CMC Markets website. You’ll need to provide your name, date of birth, nationality and contact details, plus some details about your finances.
