Club Auto’s Shock Absorber policy is the minimum level of cover provided and is a good option for those that are on a tight budget.

Club Auto’s taxi insurance policy is called Flag Fall and has three cover options: comprehensive, third party fire and theft and third party only.

What is excluded by Club Auto?
As every insurer has different exclusions in their policies, it’s important to understand what these are before taking out your policy. Some of the Club Auto exclusions are:
- Accidents caused by drivers under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- Commercial use of the vehicle unless shown in the certificate of insurance
- Unlicensed drivers
- Driving your vehicle in an unsafe condition
- Using your car for motorsports or reckless driving
- Liability for bodily injury
- Damage or loss to driver property
- Depreciation and wear and tear
- Landslips, erosion or geothermal activity
- Loss or damage to modifications or accessories unless listed on the policy document

How much excess will I pay?
Once you have submitted a request for a quote from Club Auto, you will be advised on what excess you will be liable to pay in the event of a claim. You won’t need to pay an excess for windscreen and window glass repairs if this benefit is listed on your policy or if it can be proven that another driver is at fault for the accident.

How do I make a claim?
To make a claim on your policy, you will need to call Club Auto first to initiate the process. They will then send you a claims form to fill in or you can download one from the website. Once you send back the form by post, mail or email, Club Auto will process the claim and inform you if they need any further information and what the next steps are.
Other benefits of getting insurance with Club Auto
- SOS Assistance. Get up to three call-outs a year if you happen to break down, get a puncture or run out of fuel while driving. For each call-out, the first $100 is covered.
