About ASOS promo codes

ASOS is a UK-based company with a global shopping platform. Shoppers can browse and shop a huge range of high-street and designer brands in New Zealand dollars and receive free shipping for spending just $63.

As well as numerous fashion labels that you know and love, ASOS has its own range of brands that cover more than 30 sizes across tall, petite, maternity and plus-size lines. While other retailers charge more for larger items, ASOS keeps things fair with the same price for all sizes.

ASOS Marketplace

Another feature of ASOS that is worth checking out if you’re a fan of independent labels and vintage clothing is ASOS Marketplace. Here you’ll find hundreds of boutiques and fashion startups from over 50 countries, with all sorts of one-of-a-kind pieces. Different shipping and returns policies apply for ASOS Marketplace, so make sure to read these before making a purchase.

ASOS has a big focus on corporate responsibility, ethical trading and promoting healthy body images. It partners with one of the biggest LGBTQ organisations for a gender-netural collection and uses over 200 models of different shapes and ethnicities to represent its diverse range of customers.

ASOS returns policy

ASOS allows you to return items within 28 days for a full refund. The return cost is covered by ASOS, so it’s absolutely free! You can also return items within 29–45 days, but you can only receive a gift voucher rather than a refund.

You can start the returns process through the ASOS website. Click on “Create Return” to access a free return label, attach it to your parcel, then drop it off at your local New Zealand Post office.

Non-refundable items

While you can return most items you purchase at ASOS, the following are not accepted for refunds:

  • Pierced jewellery with a broken or tampered-with seal
  • Swimwear and underwear that does not have the hygiene seal in place
  • Face and body products that have been opened or used

How many brands does ASOS sell?

ASOS is frequently adding new brands to its catalogue so it’s difficult to say exactly how many it stocks. Its collection features a mix of ASOS’s own brands, plus plenty of high-street and designer labels to suit all kinds of budgets.

Big brands at ASOS

Fans of Topshop and Topman will be pleased to know that these brands are now officially part of ASOS, so you can easily purchase items and have them delivered to you at home in New Zealand.

Other big brands you can find at ASOS include:

  • ASOS DESIGN. Available for men and women with tall, petite, maternity and curve lines, this brand puts an ASOS spin on major fashion trends.
  • ASOS EDITION. Known as the more formal ASOS brand, you’ll find stand-out evening and party wear for men and women, plus a gorgeous wedding collection.
  • ASOS WHITE. This label offers oversized yet understated staples with a clean aesthetic and has investment pieces for women and men.
  • ASOS MADE IN KENYA. Working with SOKO Kenya, this brand is about self-expression while supporting local communities.

Where do I enter my ASOS discount code?

The ASOS promo code box is located on the “Confirm & Pay” page, just underneath the order summary. Click on the line that reads “Promo Code or Student Code”, then a box to enter your code will appear underneath. Once you’ve entered your Finder discount code, click “Update”, then the discount will be applied to your ASOS order.

Why is my ASOS promo code not working?

This can happen for any number of reasons. Most commonly for New Zealanders, it is because the discount code was taken from an international deals site and doesn’t apply to ASOS New Zealand. It might also be because the discount code has expired, excludes certain items (such as sale items) or you have already used this same code. If you ever find that one of our ASOS codes isn’t working, please let us know in the comments and we’ll rectify the situation ASAP!

Does ASOS pay for return shipping?

Yes! Thankfully if you need to return a purchase, ASOS will let you do so for free through New Zealand Post. While this makes online shopping much easier, do keep in mind that ASOS does keep an eye on how many items you are returning. If there seems to be any suspicious activity, for example you are wearing clothes once and then returning them, your account could be suspended.

Does ASOS do gift wrapping?

Unfortunately ASOS does not offer a gift wrapping service. But if you want to purchase a gift for a loved one, you can have the parcel sent directly to their home.

Does ASOS do exchanges?

No, if you need a different size or colour, you will need to process a return and then make a new order at ASOS.

Are ASOS jeans true to size?

Since ASOS carries a range of denim brands, sizing can differ between styles. Before adding to your cart, click on the size guide found on each product page to check measurements. You can also take advantage of the fit assistant on some products. After entering some personal information and answering some questions, this feature helps you to get the right fit first time based on your measurements and order history.

Are ASOS products good quality?

ASOS sells a huge range of brands and the price points and quality vary between them. However, ASOS has a good reputation as an affordable option for quality high-street clothes. ASOS also sells higher-end brands and boutique designers, which come at a higher price point.
