How to watch Disney+: Full list of devices

Disney+ comes with great device compatibility, so Dutch users can stream content on a wide range of gadgets, from tablets to game consoles and smart TVs.

Tried Disney+ yet? The online platform, now available in the Netherlands, has a lot going for it. The list includes a generous library of content, original shows and movies exclusive to the streamer, a user-friendly interface and baby Yoda.

Disney+ no longer has a free trial, so you’ll need to sign up to watch. Even better, Disney+ is affordable, at only €6.99/month.

If you do decide to sign up, you’ll notice that the streaming experience is seamless, without major buffering issues or technical problems. Even better, Disney+ is compatible with plenty of devices, so you can watch your favourite content on small or large screens, at home or on the go.

Of course, you can access Disney+ via web browsers on PCs/Macs, but there are plenty more ways to watch. Here’s the complete list to get you started:

Amazon Fire TV Stick

The Amazon Fire TV Stick is compatible with Disney+ and is very similar to Chromecast, allowing users to wirelessly stream content from mobile devices to your TV. However, it also lets you install apps like Disney+ so you can watch without your mobile device.

Google Chromecast

Chromecast is affordable and user-friendly, making it a fine choice for plenty of users who don’t have a smart TV, but still want to enjoy content on the big screen.

All you need to do is have your device up and running by connecting it to your TV, then cast content from Disney+ to the TV using your smartphone as a remote. Here’s a step-by-step guide that should come in handy.

iPhone, iPad, iPod touch

Disney+ has an iOS app for Apple devices. To get started, download it and install it from the App Store. Then, log in with your Disney+ credentials and you’re good to go.

Android phones/tablets, Android TV

Similarly, Disney+ also has an app for Android devices, including smartphones, tablets and TVs running Android TV. This time around, you’ll need to download it and install it from Google Play.

Apple TV

If you have a 4th or 5th generation Apple TV, you can download and install the Disney+ app directly to the device and stream Disney+ on the big screen. If you have an older model, you can use AirPlay to watch Disney+ on TV.

Microsoft Xbox One

To enjoy Disney+ content with an Xbox One, you will need to download the app from the Microsoft Store and install it.

You can subscribe to Disney+ directly from your console, but you might save yourself some time if you already have an account set up.

Android-based Sony smart TVs

The new streaming service works on compatible Sony smart TVs with Android TV. The Disney+ Android app can be installed from Google Play or Sony Select.

Samsung smart TVs

If you have a Samsung smart TV from 2016 to the current line-up, you should be able to install the Disney+ app with minimal hassle and start enjoying movies and shows in minutes. Here’s how to get things running.

LG smart TVs

To watch Disney+ on supported LG smart TV models (from 2016 onwards), you simply need to download and install the Disney+ app from the LG Content Store.
