The basics

If you’re a frequent shopper at the My Unique Outlet site, the Next Millennium Card can help you get the items you want, and pay for them later. Applying for the card won’t affect your credit because the Next Millennium Card won’t do a hard credit pull. Instead, it guarantees approval no matter your credit score.

However, the card doesn’t come cheap. While there’s no interest on your purchases, you’ll pay an application fee and a high monthly fee, that can add up to almost $240 annually.

The perks

  • No credit checks and guaranteed approval.

Without a credit check, there’s no impact on your score. And even with a poor credit score, Next Millennium guarantees you’re approved.

  • No APR on purchases.

There’s no interest on purchases. However, it’s application and monthly fee could offset this feature.

What to watch out for

  • Only works on the My Unique Outlet website.

You can’t use this card to make cash withdrawals or payments at supermarkets. You can only use the card for purchases at the My Unique Outlet.

  • High monthly fee.

To own the card, you’ll pay $19.95 monthly fee, which adds up about $240 annually.

  • Other fees.

You’ll pay a $29.95 application fee, $10 for late payments, NSF check fee of $30 and a fee for returned checks or debits of $30.

  • Minimum monthly payment.

Your minimum monthly payment is either 15% of the balance or $25, whichever is greater.

  • Doesn’t report to a credit bureau.

Unlike most other cards, this one doesn’t seem to report any of the credit bureaus. If you’re looking to build your credit, look elsewhere.

Can I use this anywhere else like Walmart or stores like that? and can I go shopping online before I get my card?

        Hi Kathleen,

        Thanks for your question.

You may not be able to use the Next Millennium Card on stores like Walmart. You may only use this card for purchases on MyUnique Outlet website which sells a wide variety of brand name items such as clothes and electronics among others.

It is not possible to shop online before your card arrives because you need to first activate it before you can use it. You need the details on the card for the activation process.

        I hope this helps.

        Cheers,
        Anndy

        Hi Sherrie,

        Thanks for your question.

Kindly note that when you use your Next Millenium Card to make online orders, you’ll only pay for shipping upfront. The remaining balance can go on your Next Millennium card. Concerning the reviews you have read, this is something you may have to directly confirm with the Next Millenium.

        Cheers,
        Anndy
