Pay for your order using any major credit card, PayPal or financing options. Mattress Firm’s checkout page is SSL secured, so you can shop knowing your sensitive information is safe.

Does Mattress Firm offer financing?

Yes. If you’d rather finance your mattress, choose the Monthly payments option at checkout to pay with your Mattress Firm credit card through Synchrony Bank. The financing options available to you should pop up underneath the Financing button at the checkout screen. You could qualify for six to 12 months of no-interest promotional financing. However, be sure to read the specific financing terms that apply to your offer, as the minimum monthly payment and interest rate can vary.

Features of a Mattress Firm mattress

What is it made of?

Mattress Firm sells a variety of different types of mattresses and brands, including memory foam, gel memory foam, hybrid, spring coils and pillow top construction. If you’re looking for a certain type of mattress, narrow your search by selecting the material you want under the Shop by type section of the Mattresses tab on the home page.

Do you need a box spring?

Most mattresses can be used with or without a box spring. However, the right base or foundation for you can depend on the specific type and brand of mattress you buy. If you have specific questions, contact Mattress Firm customer service, or get in touch with a team member from the brand you’re considering.

How many years does a Casper mattress last?

The longevity of your Mattress Firm mattress will depend on what it’s made out of it and what brand it is. Every brand is going to have different warranty terms and conditions, so be sure to read the fine print before finalizing your purchase.

Our research shows that latex mattresses tend to last the longest, but most memory foam mattresses can last anywhere from six to ten years, depending on their construction.

Can I rotate or flip the Casper mattress?

This will depend on which specific mattress you pick. Any mattress that contains multiple layers that are arranged in a particular order should never be flipped. Most mattresses can, however, be rotated 180-degrees every few months to help them last longer.

Mattress Firm sizing guide

Since Mattress Firm offers a variety of mattress brands, the exact size of each mattress can vary, so double check the size of the mattress you’re interested in online before completing your purchase. However, most mattresses from Mattress Firm follow these standard sizes:

39” x 75”

39” x 80”

54” x 75”

60” x 80”

76” x 80”

72” x 84”

Shipping and delivery

Can I get free delivery?

Sometimes. Mattress Firm offers free delivery on select products totalling $500 or more, and during special promotions. If you don’t qualify for free delivery, look for your shipping fee at checkout. You’ll be able to choose among several different shipping options at that time.

Does Mattress Firm offer a trial period?

Yes, there’s a 120-night trial period on all Mattress Firm mattresses. The company asks that you to take at least 30 days to break in your new mattress before requesting a return.
This sleep trial is not valid on:

  • Warranty exchanges
  • Clearance merchandise
  • Floor models
  • Pillows
  • Mattress protectors
  • Adjustable bases
  • Furniture
  • Other accessories
What’s Mattress Firm’s return policy?

You can return any mattress at any point within 30 to 120 days after your purchase. There will be a redelivery fee of $79.99 if you choose to exchange your mattress for a different one.

Note that stained or damaged mattresses will not be able to be returned or exchanged, and you must keep the law tag on both the mattress and foundation. If you don’t, the 120-night trial will be void.

Are Mattress Firm returns free?

Yes, you will be reimbursed for the price of your mattress if you choose to return it to Mattress Firm. However, shipping fees will not be reimbursed, and if you want to try out a different mattress, you’ll be charged $79.99 to have the exchanged shipped to you.

How do I return items to Mattress Firm?

Find the phone number for your local store on the invoice that came with your mattress, or look up your store on Mattress Firm’s website. A member of your store’s customer service team will arrange a pickup or exchange for you.

Shipping costs

Shipping fees vary based on your location and what you’re ordering. A full-size mattress shipped to Pennsylvania, for example, costs about $80 to ship.

You can upgrade your shipping to include extra services, such as matress set-up. Mattress Firm offers three shipping methods:

  • Curbside. Standard delivery.
  • White glove. Includes delivery and setup on select items.
  • Red carpet. Items are delivered in a three to four hour delivery window. Mattress Firm sets up select items inside your home.

How can I track my order?

As soon as you place your order, you should receive an email confirmation with an invoice number. To track your delivery, enter your invoice number online on Mattress Firm’s tracking page. If you need additional help or can’t find your invoice number, contact customer service.

What sets this brand apart?

Unlike most of the popular online mattress brands like Casper, Nest and DreamCloud, Mattress Firm offers a wide variety of mattress brands and firmness levels. Plus, you can try each and every one of them out if you visit one of the over 3,500 Mattress Firm locations across the country. This can be a great option for anyone who isn’t quite comfortable ordering a mattress online without having tried it first. At the same time, you can still have the convenience of ordering online through Mattress Firm’s website if you’d rather go that route.

Mattress Firm is also dedicated to giving back to the community. Check out its YouTube channels for videos about the mattress giant’s Foster Kids Program and partnership with Simone Biles and see how you can donate to help foster kids in need.

What do people really say about this brand?

For the most part, customers have been happy with their experience dealing with Mattress Firm. Lots of online reviews praise the quality of the mattresses this retailer offers, as well as its hassle- and mess-free delivery and set-up service.

On the other hand, a few unhappy customers reported problems with speaking to a customer service rep when there was a problem with their mattress or delivery.

How can I contact customer support?

The best way to get in touch with Mattress Firm customer support is to call 877-346-5495. You can also try chatting online through its “Chat with an Expert” tool on its website. And if all else fails, you can message the company on one of its many social media channels.

Which Mattress Firm stores are closing?

Mattress Firm recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and will be closing more than 200 stores. As many as 700 stores could close within the next few months as the company works to restructure. Back in 2015, Mattress Firm bought out Sleepy's for $780 million, and retail analysts say that opening a massive number of stores at once put too much of a strain on the company, as e-commerce continues to thrive.

This news comes shortly after online mattress giant Casper announced plans to open 200 retail stores across the US over the next three years.

Why should I shop at Mattress Firm?

  • Over 3,500 locations. If you want to try your mattress before you buy it, you can head to one of the many Mattress Firm locations throughout the country.
  • Same-day delivery available. When you choose the Red Carpet shipping option, your mattress will be delivered within one-day or your money back.
  • Choose from many different brands. Mattress Firm carries nine popular mattress brands online and has a wide range of firmness levels to fit your sleeping needs.
  • Wide price range. If a $1,000 mattress isn’t in your budget, Mattress Firm is worth a look.

  • Exchanges are not free. You’ll have 120 nights to try out your new mattress, but if you don’t like it, you’ll pay about $80 to exchange it.
  • Shipping is only free on select items. In most cases, you need to spend at least $500 to qualify for free shipping.

Is shopping at a Mattress Firm location better than buying online?

Heading out to your local Mattress Firm location has its benefits and drawbacks. Obviously, if you go to the physical store, you’re able to try out a wide range of mattresses all at once, which could help you narrow down your search. This could be especially helpful if you’ve never felt a memory foam mattress before, for example, since making the jump from innersprings to foam can be a big difference.

On the other hand, buying a mattress online is super convenient and can save you a trip to the store. Mattress Firm does offer a 120-night trial on all of its mattresses, so you can take your new bed for a test sleep or two before figuring out if its a yeah or a nay.
