Mango Markets is a decentralized and permissionless cross-margin trading platform that offers users up to 20x leverage in conjunction with incredibly high speeds and very low fees. The trading protocol was developed on top of the Solana blockchain and combines an efficient centralized exchange (CEX) with a sleek, user-friendly interface.
Mango’s mission is to combine the usability and liquidity of centralized finance (CeFi) with the permissionless innovation of decentralized finance (DeFi) while maintaining an extremely low cost to the user. The platform currently offers features such as lending, margin trading, and perpetual futures.
According to the Mango Markets website, the platform utilises the speed and efficiency offered by the Serum protocol - a Solana-based liquidity aggregator. As a result, Mango is able to deliver near-instant transactions with almost zero fees. Like the Serum protocol on which it is based, Mango is fully decentralized thanks to the native MNGO token. MNGO token holders form the Mango Markets decentralized autonomous organisation (DAO) and dictate the development direction of the platform.
