Treasure is a bridge protocol that aims to link the variety of metaverses that now exist within the cryptocurrency industry, equivalent to a layer-0 blockchain protocol such as Cosmos. The protocol hopes to facilitate the transfer of both non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and decentralized finance (DeFi) tokens to allow for cross metaverse interaction.
To encourage adoption many elements within Treasure are gamified.
As per the project’s website, at the center of the Treasure project is Bridgeworld - a layer that links all projects within the Treasure ecosystem. Bridgeworld facilitates the connection of multiple NFT metaverses along with connection to the native cryptocurrency, MAGIC. In addition to Bridgeworld, Treasure offers users access to a native NFT marketplace, which is where all NFTs that are part of the Treasure ecosystem can be purchased and sold.
MAGIC is the utility token of the Treasure protocol. Alongside facilitating the participation of gameplay, NFT purchases, and rewards, all MAGIC token holders can also enter the Treasure decentralized autonomous organisation (DAO). The TreasureDAO determines which projects are listed within the protocol and how the native MAGIC token is emitted.
