What types of life insurance coverage does Liberty National offer?
Liberty National sells life insurance through a network of local, state-licensed professionals. It offers term and whole life policies, as well as accident insurance.
- Term life. These policies provide protection for a set period of time — usually 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years. Unlike most providers, Liberty National doesn’t disclose these details online. To find out more, you’ll need to discuss your requirements with a local agent.
- Whole life. Whole life insurance offers lifelong coverage, and a portion of each premium is invested to give your policy a cash value. The premiums stay the same for the life of the policy. Once you’ve accumulated enough cash value, you can take out loans against your policy during your lifetime.
- Accident insurance. The insurer has two accident policies:
- Accident Protector Max kicks in to cover losses linked to a covered accident. It doesn’t account for injury or loss as a result of sickness.
- Accidental Death pays out a death benefit if you die in an accident before the age of 75. The premiums stay level, and you can’t purchase coverage past the age of 75.
What riders can I add to my policy?
The insurer isn’t transparent about its riders on the site, but it does mention a waiver-of-premium rider, which allows you to waive your premiums if you suffer a disability, critical illness or injury.
