What sets this brand apart?

Lenox has been making fine bone china for more than 125 years, manufacturing its dinnerware right here in the United States — in Kinston, North Carolina, to be exact.

Known as one of the largest innovators and influencers in American porcelain, Lenox dates back to 1889, when Walter Scott Lenox first opened Lenox’s Ceramic Art Company. Unlike other porcelain manufactures of the time, this ceramics company was set up like an art studio, not a factory. The result was unique, one-of-a-kind pieces unlike anything else available.

Today, Lenox pieces can be found in the Smithsonian, at the White House and in homes across America.

What do people really say about this brand?

Lenox products get rave reviews online. Most customers are happy with the quality and value of their items, plus the bonus of being made in America.

What is Lenox’s history?

Lenox was founded by Walter Scott Lenox in 1889. With not much more than a vision to create “the finest American porcelain dinnerware” — Lenox became one of the biggest names in porcelain and dinnerware today.

Lenox plates were the first pieces of American china to make their way to the dinner table at the White House, when President Wilson commissioned a set in 1918. In World War II, Lenox china was even used for lighting fixtures and instrumentation in ships. This led to the creation of a military-grade material called Lenoxite, which was strong enough to be cast into special forms for radar and electronics devices.
